Stephanie and Adrienne Vendetti are sisters, best friends, and natural-born redheads. They are co-founders of HowtobeaRedhead.com and authors of the recently released “How to be a Redhead” book. These sisters were raised in Cranston; attending Holy Ghost School & LaSalle Academy in Providence, and both have B.A.’s in Business from the University of Miami.

“The color red is everything to us, and with a lot of hard work and determination, we’ve made a successful career out of it! It’s an honor to be involved with the American Heart Association’s Go Red Movement and we can’t wait to raise awareness for this very important disease.”

As natural redheads, Adrienne and Stephanie struggled to find beauty and fashion items that cater to young, trendy redheaded women. When Stephanie was a teenager, she went blonde to “fit in,” but realized she felt and looked best with natural red locks. As young girls, they both had trouble finding ‘redhead friendly’ products because most items caused their skin to irritate or break out. Many makeup consultants at department stores shied away when they would ask which mascara or blush matched their fair complexion. The Vendetti sisters decided to take it upon themselves to test and try different types of products and love expressing their fun redhead personalities with fun pops of color in their wardrobe.

Over the years, Adrienne and Stephanie have learned to master all of the complementary redhead techniques. They created HowtobeaRedhead.com for redheads throughout the world to celebrate a redhead’s beauty, in both the fashion and beauty sector. The redhead sisters have coined the phrase “Rock it like a Redhead” as the tag line for their articles and social media photos to proclaim that it’s all about rockin’ your red hair with certainty and spunk.

“Our grandmother, Rosemary, a beautiful, natural redhead, was one of our biggest inspirations growing up. She was also from Providence. She suddenly passed away from heart disease in 2003, and it forever changed us. From that moment on, our entire family began living a healthier lifestyle. When we started the How to be a Redhead brand, we knew our passion for health had to extend to our website… and more. We even speak about its importance in the ‘How to be a Redhead’ book. We believe the positive results are more than physical, it’s downright life-changing inside and out.”
