Dan Jaehnig shares why he’s involved with the AHA in his own words

“It was inspiring to be among a sea of red which symbolized strong healthy women. The luncheon is a chance to put women’s heart health on center stage where we heard how so many lives were saved through awareness and guidance from the American Heart Association. As the father of twin teenage girls, I’m proud to be part of an event that focuses on women and their health.   So many of them are role models and prime examples of a healthy lifestyle. My involvement with the American Heart Association is for my late mother who survived three heart attacks and two strokes. Her first heart attack was when I was eight years old.  She, like so many with the condition had the biggest heart. It’s because of her that I have proudly been involved with the Go Red Luncheon over the years and the Heart Walk for the past five years!” – Dan Jaehnig
