Rhode Islanders Vote YES on 3

On November 6th, Rhode Island voters overwhelmingly (79% in favor) approved Question 3 – the Green Economy and Clean Water Bond – which will invest millions of dollars in bikeways, local recreation and open space. The American Heart Association was excited to support the Green Economy and Clean Water Bond because it will lead to healthier and more active communities for children, families and residents of the Ocean State!

The $47 million Green Economy and Clean Water Bond (Question 3 on the Rhode Island Ballot) will provide resources to improve our bikeways and other recreational areas; preserve green spaces; clean up contaminated land for redevelopment; and ensure clean water and coastal resiliency.
